Goat Cheese Crostini with Jelly

This recipe is so easy I was hesitant about posting it. It’s just toasted bread, cheese and a dollop of jelly after all. Then I remembered the number of times this simple combination has saved me when I needed an easy appetizer of a dinner party or a simple late-night snack.

There must be at least one or two people out there who will appreciate the simplicity of this recipe. You’re out there right? If you are, clap your hands and scream, “I’m here! I’m here!”

A little louder, I can’t quite hear you.

Goat Cheese Crostini with Apple Pepper Jelly

Serves: 12-16 pieces
  • 14-16 slices French bread, cut on an angle
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 8 oz. goat cheese, softened
  • 4 oz. apple pepper jelly
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Brush each side of the bread with butter and evenly space on a sheet pan. Toast in the oven for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Spread the goat cheese evenly on one side of each baguette toast. Warm the apple pepper jelly slightly in the microwave and spoon one teaspoon on top of the goat cheese.
