Pear Vodka Cocktail

When it comes to cocktail recipes, I like to keep things simple. While my favorite celebratory drink is a Lemon Drop Martini, this classic go-to beverage was a perfect way to ring in the New Year.

Crisp and lightly fruity, this cocktail was a perfect drink to sip while watching the ball drop with a group of my closest friends. There are plenty of flavored vodka varieties if you are not a fan of pears. Orange, mango and raspberry are a few of my other favorites. Of course, it goes without saying, be sure to select a high-quality brand. It makes all the difference.

Pear Vodka Cocktail
1 ½ oz. pear vodka
sprite or tonic
lime wedges

Fill a rocks glass with ice. Add the pear vodka and fill to the top with Sprite or tonic. Stir lightly with a spoon and squeeze a couple lime wedges on top. Enjoy.

  • This is a little bit off-topic, but… when I saw the pic of the cocktail, it instantly reminded me of when I first read “The Great Gatsby” as a kid. They mentioned something about drinking Mint Juleps on a really hot day, and at the time I thought it sounded absolutely fantastic. The way I pictured it in my mind was similar to the photo you have here. Until I discovered what bourbon was 😛 I think if I make this, I’d still like to add some fresh mint leaves, just for fun 🙂

  • cory-i love, love, love pear vodka. except when i give some cheeky bartender at spin complete creative license to create a cocktail for me using pear vodka. said cocktail was too drinkable and i, um, got drunk. nasty hangover followed. from now on, i will keep it simple and do flavored vodka and soda :-)-it was lovely to meet you yesterday and i adore your blog!

  • Yum! I love pears and this looks so simple and refreshing. Pretty much how I make all my drinks: flavored vodka, soda, and some citrus 🙂
